Privacy at Village Consulting.
The Village AI Guide is optional, limited, and designed for general pre-sales questions. Do not put passwords, financial details, health information, confidential client information, or other sensitive data into the guide.
What the AI guide processes
When you send a question, Village Consulting sends the question and the recent messages needed for context to OpenAI through its API. The assistant is not Kyle and does not have access to private Village Consulting systems, web browsing, or external tools.
OpenAI states that API data is not used to train its models by default. Standard abuse-monitoring logs may be retained by OpenAI for up to 30 days. You can read OpenAI’s API data controls.
What Village Consulting stores
- Your browser sessionStorage keeps the current conversation and contact prefill so the guide can continue between the homepage and Kyle page. It clears when the browser session ends.
- If you dismiss the invitation, your browser stores that choice for seven days.
- Redis stores short-lived authorization and aggregate engagement state, not contact details.
- Questions may be retained for 30 days after email addresses, phone numbers, web addresses, and long account-like numbers are removed.
Village Consulting does not store raw IP addresses, AI answers, or complete chat transcripts. A one-way, privacy-preserving IP hash is used to enforce daily limits.
Contact requests
The guide answers three questions before it offers optional contact sharing. To continue chatting, you can choose to send your first name, email, and up to your first three topic labels to Village Consulting.
When the guide identifies a concrete workflow or you choose project review from the contact-sharing gate, you can discuss your workflow with Kyle. You review the message before submission, and the workflow request sends your first name, email, and reviewed message so Kyle can assess Systems Sprint fit or recommend another project path.
Later questions are not sent as lead updates. The guide cannot submit the existing contact form for you.
The AI Operator newsletter
If you subscribe from the Village Consulting site, your email is stored in Resend so Kyle can send The AI Operator newsletter. The contact is added to the AI Operator list, opted in to that topic, and labeled as coming from the Village site.
Project intake, contact requests, and AI Guide contact sharing do not subscribe you to the newsletter. You can unsubscribe from any newsletter email, or email Kyle at kyle@village-consulting.com to ask for deletion.
Your choices and questions
You can use the site without the AI guide, close it at any time, or contact Kyle directly at kyle@village-consulting.com. Email that address with privacy questions or deletion requests.
